Onyx Sounds were called upon to revamp Club Vision’s lighting system. The previous system was dated, and with no lighting control the club relied on sound activation for there to be any lighting effect. With the large size of the club, the owner requested two main requirements:

– The main room to be split into two zones: zone one used when only half the room is required, there fore unused lighting can be shut off for efficiency. Zone two utilising the whole space of the main room.

– With more live performances held at the club, a dedicated lighting scene made to enhance live PA’s.

After inspecting the previous lighting system, we noticed after 6 years since they were first installed, they have never been serviced. All the lighting were taken down, deep cleaned and put back together. Some lights had stopped working due to ventilation being blocked due to dust and residue buildup, this caused a buildup of heat causing internal components to fail.

Our team then repositioned lighting fixtures around the room to offer a balanced lighting experience around the room, focusing more lighting effects in high traffic areas such as the dance floor and stage/DJ area.

We then installed a new lighting control system along with new lighting scenes with touch screen control, as well as wireless control for both zones from an iPad.
